Your MiniShop is now a real online shop: customer checkout, an orders dashboard, a proper homepage and much more. Here's everything that changed and what you need to know.

💳 MiniShops are moving to a small monthly fee

MiniShops have been 100% free until now. Running them costs money every month: hosting, the checkout and order system, e-mails, product syncing and support. To keep MiniShops running and improving, we will charge R29 per MiniShop per month to cover the basic admin costs.

That's less than R1 a day for your own shop, checkout and order system. One sale a month covers it.

📌 Important to know

  • Existing MiniShops: free until 8 November 2026. You don't need to do anything right now.
  • New MiniShops: 30 days free from the day they're created.
  • Pay by card on PayFast, from the banner on your Orders Dashboard or the MiniShop Creator page. It renews automatically, and subscribing early doesn't lose you any free days.
  • Reminders are e-mailed 7, 3 and 1 day(s) before your free or paid period ends, so check that the e-mail on your DMC account is correct.
  • If payment stops: you get 7 extra days, then the shop is paused (customers see “taking a short break”). All your settings are kept, and paying switches it straight back on.
  • One free trial per reseller. Extra or duplicate MiniShops need their own subscription.
  • Can't pay by card? Contact DMC Wholesale and we'll help with EFT.

✅ What to do now (10 minutes)

  1. Log in and open the MiniShop Creator.
  2. Check your markup and banking details (steps 3 and 5).
  3. Set your delivery options and prices (step 6).
  4. Add a homepage banner and your About text (steps 8 and 9). Paste in 2–3 real customer reviews if you have them.
  5. Save, then open your Orders Dashboard and add it to your phone's home screen.
  6. Share your shop link again. Your customers can now order and pay through your shop.

❓ Questions

Why are you charging now?

MiniShops have grown to over 300 shops, and the new checkout, order system, e-mails and hosting all cost money every month. R29 covers the basic admin costs so we can keep improving the platform.

Do I have to pay right away?

No. Existing MiniShops are free until 8 November 2026. Subscribe any time before then. Your free days are never lost.

What happens to my orders and settings if I stop?

Nothing is deleted. The shop is paused after 7 days' grace, and everything comes back as soon as you subscribe.

Can I still use WhatsApp with customers?

Yes. Your WhatsApp button, group link and share buttons are all still there. Orders now come through the checkout, so you have everything in one place.
